Peiso Makhube

Peiso is one of two Resident Student Program Trainers who work alongside Joshua Ramatlali in training the students who are part of the Growing Nations Resident Student Program.  This is a part time role and the remainder of his time is spent working alongside Rorisang Moliko, as an assistant on the Demonstration Farm.

Peiso is also responsible for managing the vegatable garden at Growing Nations & works with the Resident Students to maximise production of a wide variety of vegetables, including cabbage, onions, lettuce, beetroot, carrots, tomatoes, peppers and more.  The produce from the garden is used to help suppliment the diet of the students and is also used to feed the many visitors who come to Growing Nations, with any surplus being sold to the surrounding community.

Peiso is a former graduate from the Resident Student Program (2012-13) & spent a year with MCC (Mennonite Central Committee) in Canada at Willow View Farms, Abbotsford, BC as part of their IVEP (International Volunteer Exchange Program) in 2014/15.  He has also had vegetable production training from the Farming God's Way team in Port Elizabeth.
